My Journey
I am Kristina Hirschfeld, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with 15 years of clinical experience, primarily at The University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Throughout my career, I have cared for thousands of patients, many with complex medical conditions. Serving patients has always been my passion and a great honor - a humbling and rewarding experience. In addition to patient care, I mentored dietetic interns and taught nutrition and health-related classes.
Despite my passion for helping others, I reached a turning point where I needed to extend that same care to myself. I was struggling with chronic stress, feeling drained and exhausted, and these challenges began to take a toll on my health. This is when I decided to pause, focus on my health, spend time with my family, and refill my cup. I ultimately embarked on a transformative health journey through diet modifications, physical activity, quality sleep, and stress management techniques. This personal experience has given me a deeper understanding of what it takes to prevent others from hitting rock bottom and how to improve their health.
My health struggles and comprehensive approach to rebuilding health inspired me to create my own online space, Wellco Studio, to guide and support others in their health and wellness journey.
In addition to being a dietitian, I am a dedicated wife and mother of two boys. I enjoy outdoor walks, traveling, cooking, good design, and comedy.
Today, as a virtual nutrition and health coach, I support individuals from the comfort of their homes, utilizing a holistic approach that uses food as medicine and lifestyle modifications. I aim to empower you to prioritize your health, so you can live your best life.
Everyone has a story, and I want to hear yours - your health struggles and what motivates you. I’m interested in learning more about your lifestyle beyond just what you eat. This provides me with a broader perspective of who you are and what matters to you.
Each person requires a personalized approach because everyone’s journey is different. I will identify areas of strength and areas that would benefit from improvement and support. Taking into consideration your culture, values, relationship with food, habits, goals, and lifestyle, I will create a tailored roadmap and interventions.
My goal is to collaborate with you in establishing meaningful, realistic, long-term goals that align with your values. I will support you in making gradual, sustainable changes toward your larger goals at your own pace, helping you to succeed and thrive. I’m also here to bridge the gap between desiring a healthy life and actually experiencing and enjoying one.
